American's are outrageously patriotic about their country, hit them where it hurts (their pride). The uncle Sam thing might be the wrong image to use, given it's history. But I'm using it as more of a reconciliation message like; "It's time to unite, no matter who your party, if you're a real American you'll vote for a better country!"

Don't be too hard on yourself - it's not THAT terrible. The design is fun and makes you look.

The collage is fun, I'm afraid the apostrophe may be grammatically incorrect though.

We are designers, dammit! ...not proofreaders! Anyway, I like the throwback design to war-era graphics. I fear the design would be better slated for a poster or any larger format where you can see the imagery in all of its glory. I would like to see a bit more dimension on the type and possibly some kerning on the "VOTE", but it is a very strong/patriotic collage.

Hey, designers of all people should respect punctuation! Who else gets off so much on letterforms or loses sleep worrying about how much space to put next to an O? Let's not get sloppy when it comes to communicating a message. I'm sure we'd all have noticed if it was an inch mark and not an apostrophe...

Anyhow, it IS distracting, but everything else is very well done indeed.
